Transforming Vocational and Entrepreneurship Education towards Enhancing National Peace and Security in Nigeria

This review examined ways of transforming vocational and entrepreneurship education towards enhancing National peace and security in Nigeria. It laid emphasis on the need and importance of vocational and entrepreneurship education in reducing global insecurity because of the belief that an idle hand is a devil’s workshop. To this end, recommendations and suggestions are given for the possibility of transforming vocational and entrepreneurship education such that it will reduce people’s dependence on white collar job. Hence, people will involve themselves in how they can be creative and work towards new innovations   to be able to compete favourably among others. The paper talked about the concept of education, peace as an instrument of conflict resolutions, peace and mutual understanding as a yardstick for peaceful co-existence, and religious tolerance as mechanisms for propagating cultural association and assimilation.
