This paper is set to identify the effects of excessive desire for white collar job on education in Nigeria. The instrument used to collect data was questionnaire and it is divided into two parts, first part checking for the effect of excessive desire for white collar job on education and the second part, checking if vocational training can be the solution. The data collected was analyzed and presented using simple percentage and chi-square (χ2). The findings revealed that most schools in Nigeria have large class size and the rate of examination malpractices is very high which contributes greatly to the falling standard of education in Nigeria schools. The study proffer solution to the menace and necessary recommendations were made.
