The challenge for mathematics educators is to identified teachers preparation and professional development programmes that lead to the development of Technology Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPCK). TPCK is an important body of knowledge for teaching mathematics that must be developed in the process of teaching and learning as well as within the course work direct at developing mathematical knowledge. This paper is set out to discuss the following: Teachers' attitudes and beliefs about teaching mathematics with technology, preparing teachers to teach mathematics with technology, possible effect of teaching math with technology. What are the barriers? Remedies to the barriers of teaching math with technology and challenges for the development of a research agenda for mathematics education that is directed towards ensuring that all teachers have the opportunities to acquire the knowledge and experience needed to incorporate technology in the context of teaching and learning of mathematics are critically examined.
