Based on the need to improve livelihood and reduce poverty amidst the people to a minimum level in our nation, aquaculture have vast potentials to provide the poor with more food, better nutrition, increased incomes and also offering greater diversification of their livelihoods. Most of the world’s poorest people particularly in Asia and Africa get most of the animal protein in their diet from fish. For many reasons efforts should be channeled to training and enhancing entrepreneurial skills acquisition of the technical know-how in order to provide maximum productivity in aquaculture which in turn will enhance increase in the nation’s Gross Domestic Product.
