This study seek to investigate the application of educational technology and the relative effect it poses to teacher’s preparation whether there is significant relationship between educational technology and the level as well as quality of science teacher’s preparation: a case study of some selected Colleges of Education in South-Western region of Nigeria. The research was carried out in five teacher training Colleges of Education in South-Western Region of Nigeria. The study sample was selected through a simple random and stratified sampling techniques as the selection of Colleges and respondents. The investigator utilized two types of questionnaires to collect data from the respondents. The first was the respondents personality and the second which comprises of five (5) sub-section was on the Application of Educational Technology in the preparation of Science Teachers in Nigeria Colleges of Education. The sample comprised 50 lecturers and 150 teacher trainees in their second to fourth year programs. Pilot testing of the research instruments to established how the sampled population would respond to the question items contained in the research instrument was very useful. Inferential statistics survey design was adopted and data was collected through questionnaires where decision and conclusion were drawn from the research of data analysis. Findings revealed landslide inadequacy in the science teachers and also established that the application of educational technology was a direct relative effect on the level of science teachers preparation in our Colleges of Educations not only in the South-Western Region of Nigeria but in the country as a whole. Recommendations were suggested that government and private investors and College administration should strive more in funding for the enrichment of science education.
