AbstractInformation and communication technologies have gained popularity of being veritable compliments in teaching and learning situation. This study specifically investigated the application of information and communication technology in teaching and learning of chemistry in senior secondary school levels.
The study sample comprises of selected secondary schools in Ondo West Local Government Area of Ondo State. The sample consisted of two hundred and eighty two (282) students and eighteen (18) secondary school teachers who were randomly selected from public and private schools from Ondo West Local Government Area of Ondo State.
The result revealed that most of the teachers were not aware of some ICT teaching-learning packages such as Aqion, ACDchemsketch, Video clips, 3D representation etc. The response from the students showed that they are not familiar with the use of ICT.
The study recommends that all stakeholders should embrace and encourage the use of information and communication technology in schools in order to be in line with the global standard.
