Evaluation of Implementation Level of New Mathematics Curriculum in Senior Secondary Schools

Abstract: ABSTRACT
This study focused on the evaluation of effective implementation of new mathematics curriculum in senior secondary schools in Ondo West Local Government Area of Ondo State. Three research questions were used in carrying out the research questions. Three hypotheses were tested at 0.05 level of significance. It was discovered from the study that that challenges faced in the old curriculum have no significant effect on the implementation of the new curriculum. It was therefore recommended that the federal government particularly the Ministry of Education should provide adequate fund for building numerous spacious lectures and for the purchase of instructional materials and facilities needed for adequate implementation of the programme, there is need for the full implementation of the curriculum for better teaching and learning of Mathematics in secondary schools, teaching aids and instructional materials should be provided in all secondary schools to assist Mathematics teachers in their effort of teaching based on the provisions and speculations in the new curriculum, social amenities should be provided in all secondary schools in Nigeria. This makes it possible for teachers to have access to facilities that make teaching and learning effective among others.
