Abstract: This study was carried out to examine the effects with which economic recession have on the academic performance of Physics students in Nigeria. A questionnaire based method was adopted for data collection and the data collected was analyzed using T-test statistical method. The findings revealed that there was adverse effect of economic recession on the performance of Physics students in Nigeria. It was recommended that Nigerian government should improve on economic policies so that parents’ income will be stabilized and hence improve the standard of living of students in order to concentrate more on their studies.
