In 2011 alone, Facebook according to the Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland, provided 182,000 new jobs and contributed more than twelve billion dollars in wages and benefits to the U.S economy. In 2014, the contribution had quantum leap to two hundred and twenty seven billion dollars and 4.5 million jobs globally (Deilotte, 2014)
This study seeks to estimate the effect of Facebook on the economy over its years of existence and ways it can be maximized.
